Cookie Policy

Brience uses a few cookies to keep the site working and, only if you say yes, PostHog analytics and session recordings to see how it is used. This page lists everything the site stores on your device, what it is for and how long it stays.

Your choice

Nothing optional runs until you choose. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics and session recordings. Reject all is as easy as Accept all, and closing the banner rejects them too. Until you accept, no analytics script runs and nothing is sent to PostHog.

You can change your mind at any time from Cookie Settings at the foot of any page, or in Settings once you are signed in. Turning analytics off deletes its cookies and storage from this browser and reloads the page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the banner doesn’t appear and optional cookies stay off. You can still turn them on from Cookie Settings.

We ask again after 12 months, and sooner whenever we add a cookie or use one for a new purpose. The banner is in English and French: it follows your browser’s language, and you can switch at the bottom of it.

Strictly necessary

Always on: each one is needed for something you asked for, like signing in, a cart or a payment.

Only with your consent. PostHog, Inc. processes this data for Brience in the United States.

Session recordings

Only with your consent, and only with Analytics on. PostHog records how you move through each page (scrolling, clicks and what is on screen) so we can find what is confusing. Everything you type is masked, and card details, entered in Stripe’s own secure fields, are never recorded. Recordings use the analytics storage above and set nothing of their own.

Where your data goes

Analytics events and session recordings are processed by PostHog, Inc. on servers in the United States, where they are subject to US law and may be accessed by US authorities. Once you sign in, they are linked to your account and its email address.

Payments are handled by Stripe, whose fraud-prevention cookies are set only on the payment page.
