What materials does Brience typically work with for brand activations and custom fabrication?
We fabricate in plywood, MDF, solid wood, aluminum, steel, acrylic, foam, solid surface, textiles, and vinyl, with integrated LED and lighting components. Material selection is driven by the design intent, durability requirements, and whether the piece is single-use, touring, or permanent.
How long is a typical lead time for a custom fabrication project?
Most projects run four to ten weeks from approved concept to install. Lead time depends on concept complexity, material sourcing, and install logistics — touring or multi-city builds need more runway. Share your event date early and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
What budget range should we expect for a brand activation or exhibition build?
Budgets vary widely with size, materials, finish level, and travel. Focused single-element builds start in the low five figures, while full-scale activations and exhibition environments typically run higher. We provide a detailed line-item quote so you can see exactly where the budget goes.
Does Brience handle delivery, installation, and strike after the event?
Yes. We manage logistics, on-site installation, and post-event strike as part of the scope. Coverage is centred on Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, with travel across Canada and the US quoted per project.
What is fabricated in-house versus outsourced to third-party vendors?
CNC routing and cutting, metal fabrication and welding, carpentry and millwork, foam sculpting, paint and finishing, and assembly all happen in our Toronto studio. Highly specialized processes — such as certain large-format prints or certified rigging — go to trusted partners we have worked with for years, always under our project management.
Can Brience work from our agency's existing CAD files or design concepts?
Absolutely. Most of our agency clients bring finished designs, CAD files, or concept decks. We review for buildability, flag value-engineering opportunities, and translate the design into fabrication drawings. Sketches and mood boards work too — we can take a project from napkin sketch to install.
Do you build for single events, touring activations, or permanent retail installations?
All three. Single-event builds prioritize speed and impact; touring activations are engineered for repeat assembly, transport, and durability; permanent retail and interior installations are built to commercial standards with appropriate finishes and warranties.
