    AI DJ Installation

How we designed and built an AI-powered DJ installation for a corporate Christmas event.

    The Problem

When the Brief Says "DJ" and You Want Something More

Every event planner knows the moment. The brief lands, the budget is approved, and somewhere in the list of requirements there's a familiar line item: music. A DJ. Someone behind the decks keeping the energy up. It's one of those elements that gets checked off early because the solution feels obvious.

But for events that are trying to do more than fill a room with sound, that default answer can feel like a missed opportunity. Brand activations, product launches, corporate experiences — these are events where every element in the space is supposed to reinforce a message, create a feeling, or tell a story.

At Brience, that's exactly the kind of problem we get excited about. Not replacing what works, but asking what's possible when you remove the barriers between creative thinking, physical fabrication, and technology.

    The Brief

A Christmas Event That Needed to Be Unforgettable

We were engaged by Brinalle Inc. to design and build custom fabrications for their annual corporate Christmas event. This wasn't a standard holiday party — it was a brand experience meant to leave a lasting impression on attendees and generate buzz well beyond the night itself.

Among their top three requests: they wanted a DJ or music element that would energize the crowd and become a focal point of the evening. A straightforward request. But we saw an opportunity to do something no one had done before.

    The Idea

What If the DJ Wasn't Human?

Instead of booking a traditional DJ, we proposed something radically different: an AI-powered DJ installation.

The concept came from a conviction that drives a lot of our work: the most memorable event experiences tend to live at the intersection of art and technology. We didn't just want to play music. We wanted to create an interactive moment where the technology itself became the entertainment, and every guest became part of the experience.

Build a sculptural, larger-than-life DJ installation. But instead of a human behind the decks, an AI system takes requests from guests, curates the playlist in real time, and keeps the energy flowing all night.

Most agencies would pitch this concept and call it a day. The hard part — the part most people can't do — is turning it into something real. That's exactly what we do.

    The Design Process

    From Sketch to Client Approval

We designed the AI DJ board to mirror the proportions, layout, and details of a professional DJ console: dual platters, faders, knobs, buttons, and pads. Every element was intentional.

The design language was driven by the event's existing aesthetic direction: black, minimal, sculptural, and tech-forward. The piece needed to feel at home in the space while still commanding attention as a standalone installation.

We presented the concept and design to the client. They loved it. No rounds of revisions, no dilution of the idea — because we'd done the work upfront to align the creative direction with their brand, their event, and their audience.

    The Build

    Engineering the Impossible (In Wood)

The AI DJ Set was fabricated entirely in-house. Every component was designed, prototyped, and built by our team — from the wooden body to the acrylic details to the technology integration.

A full-scale wooden mock-up of a professional DJ console, complete with two platters, rows of knobs and faders, back-lit button pads, and a built-in iPad mount. The iPad serves as the guest interface, connected to an AI DJ system that was custom configured, tested, and optimized for the event.

Guests approach the installation, browse music on the iPad, select their favorite tracks, and add them to the playlist. The AI DJ handles the rest: mixing, sequencing, and playing selections seamlessly throughout the night.

    The Technology

AI That Actually Works at a Party

The physical installation was only half the equation. The AI DJ software needed to be just as polished as the hardware.

We configured and optimized an AI-powered music system that integrates directly with the iPad built into the console. Under the hood, the system manages everything a skilled DJ would: reading the energy of the playlist, sequencing tracks for smooth transitions, balancing genres, and maintaining momentum across hours of continuous play.

The system was stress-tested before the event to ensure reliability across hours of continuous play, with dozens of simultaneous guest interactions. No crashes. No awkward silences. No "technical difficulties."

    The Result

An Installation That Became the Main Event

The AI DJ Set didn't just meet the brief. It redefined it. Guests gathered around it throughout the night. It sparked conversations. People photographed it, shared it, and talked about it well after the party ended.

For the client, the installation delivered on every level: it energized the crowd, activated the brand on social media, and demonstrated that their events are as innovative as their products.

What was requested as a "music element" became the centerpiece of the entire evening.

    Why This Matters

One Team. One Workflow. Zero Handoffs.

This project is a case study in what becomes possible when ideation, design, fabrication, and technology integration live under one roof.

Most event experiences are assembled by committee: a creative agency pitches the concept, a designer creates the visuals, a fabrication shop builds the pieces, and a tech vendor handles the software. Every handoff introduces delay, cost, and the risk that the final product won't match the vision.

At Brience, there are no handoffs. The same team that imagined the AI DJ Set designed it, engineered it, built it, and integrated the technology.
