FAQ
Fabrication Studio FAQs
What materials can Brience fabricate in-house in the Toronto studio?
Our Toronto studio handles CNC routing and cutting in plywood, MDF, and solid wood, plus aluminum and steel metalwork, acrylic and foam shaping, solid surface work, and full paint and finishing. Because it all happens under one roof, we control quality and timeline at every step.
How long does it take to get a custom quote after submitting the form?
We respond to every request within 24 hours, and a detailed quote typically follows within a few business days. The more detail you share up front — dimensions, materials, references, and your event date — the faster we can turn an accurate estimate.
What budget range should I plan for a custom event object or installation?
Cost is driven by the object type, size, materials, and finish level. Smaller custom pieces and props are accessible at modest budgets, while large-scale installations and scenic builds run higher. We provide line-item quotes so you can adjust scope to fit your budget.
Do you handle on-site installation and post-event strike?
Yes. Our team delivers, installs, and strikes the build so you deal with one partner end to end. Install and strike logistics are scoped into your quote, centred on Toronto and the GTA with travel available across Canada and the US.
What parts of the build are done in-house versus sent out to specialists?
CNC work, metal fabrication and welding, carpentry, foam sculpting, paint, and assembly are all in-house. Highly specialized items — certified rigging, certain large-format prints, or custom electronics — go to trusted specialist partners, always coordinated and quality-checked by us.
Can I visit the studio to review progress or approve finishes?
Yes — we welcome client reviews at key milestones. Depending on the project, that includes material and finish samples, mock-ups, and in-progress studio walkthroughs before anything ships to site.
What file types or references should I upload with my quote request?
Anything that communicates the idea helps: sketches, mood boards, reference photos, PDFs, dimensions, or CAD files (STEP, DWG, DXF, or similar). If you only have a rough concept, that is fine — we can develop the design with you from there.
What happens if my event date changes after fabrication has started?
Tell us as soon as you know. Minor shifts are usually absorbed into the schedule; larger moves are handled through a simple change order that lays out any impact on cost and timing before we proceed. Building in-house gives us more flexibility to re-sequence work than shops that outsource.
